With a growing directory of Australian Holiday Homes or vacation rentals as they are known in other parts of the world. Use our site to find a Holiday Home to suit your need. Currently the main area of Australia we host is the world renowned region of South Eastern Queensland in the Coastal Beach areas north and South of Brisbane.
The Gold Coast Holiday Homes range from quality houses for larger family up and down the coastal suburbs. While on the Sunshine Coast the predominant location is the beautiful Noosa Region on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland featuring Noosa Holiday Homes and Apartments.
Ownership has been confirmed for every rental on our website. The cost is what you pay the owner – At Stayz, HomeAway, Vrbo, AirBnB and others you’ll pay a booking fee to the website (portal) on top of what you pay the owner. Not here. We have NO portal booking fees. We are also owners who want our Holiday Homes to be found and rented directly to our Holiday Home guests. Many of us are on those other sites too but once the word gets out about this site, we hope to do most of their business here.
Our easy to use Availability & Booking Calendar allows you to see who has open dates for your time frame and creates flexibility for your stay. All entries on our calendar are linked to the owner’s listing for direct contact with them.

Having owned several holiday homes through the years, John and Keri have seen how difficult it is for individual owners to get their holiday rentals found in search engines. Often these Holiday Homes are the best maintained, outfitted and decorated short term accommodation in the rental market. We knew these were holiday homes were what the Australian Holiday public would want to rent if they could only find them.
Now working with the latest technology platforms available we have found the professional tools necessary to meet the modern needs of the traveller looking for a Holiday Home on the world wide web.
We are selective, inspecting every home and only taking those that meet our criteria. We work like a network, sharing resources, information and thoughts on how we want to operate.
Owners must have a full page listing showing many photos of the Holiday Home itself, with rates, rental policies and owner contact information. Each home must also be actively managed by it’s owner or manager during the year. We count on our members to provide up to date and accurate information in your listing with us and will not renew members who don’t keep their calendar and rates on our site up to date.
Our concept is well received with tools such as the Group Availability Calendar for guest to use. The result being our homes have exceptionally high occupancy rates and a large number or returning rentals. Owners tell us what a difference we’ve made to their bookings and renters compliment us on our easy to use informative site and the willingness of our owners to help with area information, finding additional rentals and in general conveying the friendly spirit of Australian people providing a Holiday to their mates.
In the current Holiday Rental Market we operate with increased regulations from our local city councils, there is more competition, and consolidation by Holiday Rental website and this is leading to increased fees for the owners and their guests.
We remain one of the only true BY OWNER holiday homes directory. Helping prices stay reasonable for renters and Holiday home owners. Why should a guest need to pay large percentage booking fee to a directory to find the best Holiday Home for their holiday? Owners should not have their reviews, correspondence and contact information of renters wishing to stay at their property held hostage by a large conglomerate. With owners and renters looking for other options, we have been requested to expand our market to the rest of Australia.
The Getastay membership, is a yearly fee kept to a minimum. We like to think of ourselves as Aussie mates to our like minded holiday home owners. We share names of resources, recommend each other and take pleasure in talking about the group in travel and other forums, Twitter, Facebook etc. We have active blog, email & ad campaigns. The more our owners help get the word out, the lower our rates can stay.
AU$380.00 Our intro year rate includes set up and inspection of your holiday property where possible. We happily offer our 16 years of experience in advice and assistance in our Holiday Home Set up Guide to satisfy your guests.
After the introductory year, yearly fees are $200 plus the cost of one-half of your nightly low season price for rental of your property. (If rentals rate is $800 or more, extra fee is capped at $400)
